A Roundtable discussion on advancing climate resilience through innovation
On April 22nd, the CIFAR Alliance hosted its third annual Earth Day Open Roundtable, bringing together global changemakers to explore practical tools, bold ideas, and cross-regional innovation driving climate resilience forward.
The event featured insights from experts, including Juliet Munro (FSD Africa), Maria Puch (CIFAR Alliance), Graham A N Wright, Anant Jayant Natu, Aarjan Dixit, and Pranav Khanna (MicroSave Consulting), as well as Leila Guici and Gouri Ramkumar (GSMA).Â

The official launch of the Climate Venture Investment Co-Lab, a new initiative to scale early-stage climate solutions
Introduction of new adaptation toolkits tailored for community-level planning and MSME-focused financial service providers, developed by MSC
A spotlight on GSMA’s voluntary carbon market tool, designed to empower climate-smart startups
The roundtable also featured presentations from climate entrepreneurs Alena Kharissova (Thrasos 3D), Cristina Martinez-Acitores de la Mata (ALIVE Ventures), and Nonhlanhla Cynthia Mhlongo (Khwezi Innovations), each offering unique, locally-driven approaches to addressing climate challenges across the Global South.
