Catalyzing Change, Building Momentum for Climate Action

In 2023, the CIFAR Alliance underwent remarkable expansion, welcoming new members into our fold and rolling out pivotal initiatives such as the TECA Venture Launcher and the Climate Smart Innovation Hub 2.0. These endeavors were bolstered by our active participation in key events like Climate Weeks in Africa, LATAM, and New York, and of course our co-sponsorship of the Resilience Hub at COP28 in Dubai - all underscoring our dedication to cultivating a space where diverse perspectives unite to spark innovative solutions.

Beyond the Climate Smart Innovation Hub 2.0, we’ve made significant strides in understanding climate resilience agriculture, focusing on those most affected by climate change, and exploring the role of technology in adaptation and resilience. Our analyses and case studies have illuminated various measures of resilience and adaptation, offering insights into the best opportunities for investors to drive innovation in climate resilience. On-the-ground efforts, such as climathons, have furthered our mission, creating actionable solutions and fostering community engagement.

Our commitment was further evidenced by the exceptional work of the Climate Resilient Agriculture Co-Lab and the launch of the Carbon Finance Learning Series - initiatives that exemplify our approach to addressing climate challenges through collective insight and action. Our focus sharpened on advocating for the adaptation and resilience of vulnerable communities, emphasizing the urgency of action within a sustainable framework.

This report share our learnings, to ensure our efforts in climate action and financial inclusion resonate across communities worldwide. As we embrace this phase of cross-pollination, we appreciate our journey’s unique paths, learning from each achievement and challenge.
